This portable charger cord is water-resistant (IP54 rating) and suitable for indoor or outdoor use. Delivers up to 32 amps at 240V. Suitable for all US-market production vehicles including Nissan Leaf, Mitsubishi iMiev, Chevrolet Volt, Chevy Bolt, Ford Fusion, Fiat 500e, VW e-Golf, and any EV with standard J1772 charge port. Works at 120V or 240V, automatically.

Note: For 120V use please add the optional 120V adapter, which you can find here.

Unit features adjustable current setting, so you can reduce the current when charging at a lower capacity outlet. By shaking the unit three times quickly, the current setting may be changed. The digital display will indicate the selected current. Setpoints of 12, 16A, 24A, and 32A are available. Built-in illuminated digital display shows useful information including charging duration, actual charging current, and total KWHs delivered.

On a standard 120V outlet, you can set it to the the 12A setting. When charging at a 20 amp outlet, it is recommended to set it to 16A. When charging at a 30 amp outlet, it is recommended to set it to 24A. When charging at a 50 amp outlet, you can set it to 32A for the quickest charge. At the full 32A output, you can charge most vehicles at their fastest level 2 speed which will give you about 24 miles of range per hour of charging (varies depending on specific vehicle and driving style).

With the included NEMA 14-50 plug, you can use any of our NEMA 14-50 EV adapters to plug in to other types of outlets. Total cable length is about 20 feet.

This item comes standard with a 3 year warranty.

1 review for 12-32A Adjustable 120-240V Charger EVSE

Owning this adapter for two years, I can say that it was a good investment: sturdy cables that never get warm, good connectors, great for a garage installation where 240V/40A is available. It worked perfectly with my Honda Clarity without a glitch every day since the purchase.
The fact that the adapter is adjustable is probably one of the attraction points of this model: very useful to be gentle with your battery when you have time to spare and switch to faster charging when you are in a hurry.
However, adjusting the charging current is a bit more cumbersome than I wanted – shaking the controller to change the setting is not so friendly as I would like – a touch screen or a touch sensor would have been great.
Now, the less pleasant part: the display. I found the charging info very useful but the screen size is awfully tiny – what in the world the designers thought? Even with a magnifier I have problems reading the info. Also, the reliability of the display pixels is very poor – they seem to die slowly, one by one after just one year of usage. This is the main reason I’m not giving 5 stars to this device.
My final word: if you can live with the display issues, this EVSE charging adapter is great for residential use and also good as a portable device (don’t forget to get a bag and, eventually, a NEMA 5-15P adapter for use at 110V). The price is hard to beat and I hope it will last as long as I will drive an EV or PHEV.
