Our newly improved NACS Fast Charger / Tesla Supercharger extension cord is back in stock! Our latest version offers improved usability, featuring ergonomic handles with a built-in button to unlock your charge port when finished charging, and a latching feature on the inlet connector to prevent accidental disconnection.

This is no ordinary extension cord! This heavy-duty cord has been engineered specifically to handle the high power requirements necessary for DC fast charging. Tested at Tesla Superchargers, so you can be confident you can safely use it for DC fast charging at Superchargers. The cord is rated IP66 waterproof for use in all weather conditions, and with silver-plated terminals. Rated for up to 1000V, it can be used with all NACS vehicles and at all NACS chargers - it will work at all Tesla Superchargers and all other DC fast chargers that have a NACS connector. As a bonus, you can also use this extension cord for AC charging. Features thermal overload protection to automatically cut power in event of overload.

We offer a few choices of cable lengths and power ratings now. With the 250A cord, you can charge at up to 125KW continuously, and up to 250KW for your initial boost. With the 350A cord, your charge rate increases to about 175KW continuously, and 350KW for initial boost. That's assuming you have a vehicle with a 400 volt battery or are charging at a Tesla Supercharger which is 400 volt. However, if your vehicle has a higher voltage battery, for instance KIA, Hyundai, etc., and you're charging at a charger that can deliver the higher voltage, you can charge at up to double the power - up to 250KW continuously and up to 500KW initially - even with our 250A extension cord!

When you need to fast-charge your electric vehicle while pulling a trailer, don't bother with the hassle of disconnecting your trailer first - simply pull straight in and use our handy Supercharger extension cord to plug right in!

Perhaps you drive a non-Tesla vehicle where the charge port is in a different location making it hard to reach using the Tesla Supercharger's cord. Don't stress over parking - simply use our handy Supercharger extension cord and plug right in!

This product comes with a 1 year warranty.

Worked perfectly the first two times I used it, but on #3 attempt (all at different Superchargers), the station would start off charging normally, but after a few minutes, charging stops. The cable gets very hot. I reckon the Supercharger is detecting the heat and shutting down the charging. I am on a road trip at the moment so I’m hoping that this is just a temporary anomaly. I will continue to try to use the cable and amend my review.

Hello Robert,

Thanks for the review. It is helpful for customers to read of your actual experiences in order to make an informed decision about a product. I do want to mention that we currently offer this extension cord in both 250 amp and 350 amp variants. The cord you purchased is rated for 250 amps continuous, which equates to about 120KW at 500V. So if you are pulling up to a Supercharger at a very low state of charge, your car could easily exceed that for a period of time. The cable will tolerate it for a few minutes, but if continued it will eventually cut power until it can cool back down. This is due to thermal sensors in both ends of our extension cord. We set those sensors conservatively, so it'll trip well before the cord is actually in danger. The thing is, the 15 ft cord is a bit of a compromise - if we were to use 350 amp rated cable, it would become excessively heavy and unwieldy - with 250 amp cable, it's just about the maximum I feel users would be comfortable with. For best results, we recommend initiating charging at a bit higher state of charge so that the car would charge not quite as fast, and then it will be able to continue the full charge without shutting off. Or you could use our 350 amp extension instead, but it's only available in a 5 ft length. I hope this extra information is helpful.

I am very happy with the extension cord. I am giving you 4 stars because the cord I received was used or somehow got dropped in n some dirt. I sent you an email about it. It would be good to include instructions that make it clear that after plugging the cord into the Tesla cord, the lock needs to be engaged otherwise it will not work. It will show an error.

Order came fast. Make sure you slide the lock on the inlet end. I did not at first and thought the cord might be defective. After I disconnected and reconnected and slid the lock it worked perfectly. It is not as unwieldy as you would think. Charged at an average 165 kw for over 20 minutes. This was on a standard Lightning, so close to maximum. The cord went from 85 degrees ambient to 110 degrees but no further. It was 5 degrees less than the Tesla ESVE cord. John answered all my questions and I am very happy with my purchase

I tried it on a Supercharger, it works very well. Although I understand the technical issues, I noticed that the cable is heavy and not easy to handle. I also used it to extend my mobile terminal to 120 V and it makes me a viable solution for the rare cases where I will need it

Stopped working after 2 uses. I think tesla has disabled these. It worked with a lot of difficulties twice only. I have tried multiple times since then with diffenet battery percentages, different stations and all of them failed.

After a bit of a slow start (I received the wrong item and had to go through a return and reshiping) things went much smoother. I received my 15 ft super charger extension cable bottom line is it works great and now I can charge my F150 Lightning at Tesla superchargers without taking up multiple stalls. It was slow going at first as I didn’t realize the cable appears to be unidirectional and the cable isn’t labeled as such. A little trial and error got that taken care of and I was able to charge my truck. The max charging rate was 188 KWH slowing to 120 KWH as an average. It took 15 minutes to charge from 60% to 80%. The cable appears to be long enough to let me back into the space like the Tesla’s do. I’m very satisfied with the product and service I received.

Works perfectly! Bought this to avoid blocking two spots when charging our 2027 Chevy Bolt at Tesla Superchargers. It's so convenient that I'm ordering a second one for our Model X so we don't have to take the bikes off the hitch rack just to plug in.

It was very well made—but too short for my needs.
I have asked to exchange it on Sunday, and have not received a reply. I want to exchange it for the 15 ft 240v.
Thanks for your help!

Worked great for the subaru trailseeker. Now I don’t have to jump the curb or park across 3 spots.
It’s heavy and seems well built.

Works great. Used with several superchargers so far for trailering.
A bit heavy and awkward to manage (I think my wife would have trouble managing it alone both hefting it in/out of the car and arm wrestling the connectors together and apart when done); but I don't know how this could be helped it's a 250a cable after-all. First time use took a few tries as the connectors were new and hard to plug-in the first time.
Note that when traveling and your car is full, you need to keep the cable accessible so you can't just store it out-of-the-way in the lower truck area.
No problem with cable getting hot during use during full charge sessions at 200+ supercharging; it doesn't get any warmer than my garage tesla wall connector at 48amps.
The only reason it's not 5 stars (and I don't know how this can be helped)
- heavy to manage in/out of the car.
- takes a lot of space to store it.
- hard to manage connecting the tesla charger end of the cable (it's hard to both hold the heavy cable and the tesla cable and have enough strength to push them together (need another pair of hands). Connecting to the car is easier, you can use both hands to make the connection since the car isn't going to move.
This product is a lifesaver! When the trailer is empty, you could un-hitch to charge; but when the trailer is loaded, you may not be able to lift it from the hitch, too heavy to manage.

Perfect Extension for My Kia EV9

Perfect extension for my Kia EV9. This cord/hose allows me to park anyway I like on all Tesla superchargers. No more anxiety on family trips, only problem is the ugly stares from Tesla owners at the charging stations

Wish it wasn’t so heavy

Too heavy and inflexible. Hard to lug around.
