With our J1772 to NEMA 14-50 adapter, you can now charge at all public J1772 charging stations even if you don’t have a J1772 inlet on your vehicle.
This adapter works by using a specially designed circuit inside the plug that basically tricks the charging station into thinking a vehicle is connected and ready to charge.
Also very useful together with our portable quick charger – making it possible to charge faster at these charging stations by using your vehicle’s quick-charge port.
Features a J1772 inlet and a NEMA 14-50 receptacle, this adapter is rated for 50 amps continuous, but please make sure that the charging station can deliver the amperage your application requires.
Most public charging stations can support 30 amps or more, and usually have their power rating marked on a label affixed to the unit.
Weatherproof and suitable for outdoor use. If you need a different receptacle, we offer several adapters which you can use.
Note, this adapter is not suitable for RV use due to the absence of a neutral connection on the J1772 – it’s intended only for appliances that don’t require neutral.

Fast shipping and the product works great! I had some J1772 communications issues with my 2022 Zero SR/S and Wattzilla stations, so by scrubbing the power through this adapter and a separate EVSE, I got it to work.
