Our new NEMA 14-50 Gen 2 adapter lets you charge your Tesla Model 3, Model S, or Model X with Gen 2 UMC at NEMA 14-50 outlets. These types of outlets are commonly found in many homes, and are typically used for electric ranges and clothes dryers. This is also the standard “50 amp” outlet common in most RV parks and campgrounds.
For your safety, this adapter has an internal circuit that monitors the plug temperature and communicates with the car to automatically set the appropriate 32 amp charging current. No need to manually set the current – simply plug it in! Cable length is 12 inches. We use a thicker cable for maximum efficiency and it also is more comfortable to grip onto when connecting and disconnecting it from your Tesla vehicle’s mobile connector. You will also appreciate the folding handle integrated into the plug, making it easier and much safer when plugging in and unplugging, by keeping your fingers away from the outlet. Made exclusively by EVSE Adapters.
Optional customization available: Normally these NEMA 14-50 adapters are programmed for 32 amps which is the maximum that the Gen 2 UMC will accept. However, on request we can reprogram them to limit the current to 12, 16, or 24 amps instead. If you have such a special request, just mention it in the “notes to seller” box when you checkout. Please note that this is only for special circumstances and most of you will not want this.
