Our NEMA 6-30 adapter lets you charge your Tesla vehicle at NEMA 6-30 outlets. These types of outlets are commonly used for electric welders, garage heaters, and some electric vehicle charging stations. This adapter is compatible with ALL Tesla vehicles, including Model S, Model 3, Model X, Model Y, and Cybertruck.

For your safety, this adapter has an internal circuit that monitors the plug temperature and communicates with the car to automatically set the appropriate 24 amp charging current. No need to manually set the current – simply plug it in! We use a thicker cable for maximum efficiency and it also is more comfortable to grip onto when connecting and disconnecting it from your Tesla vehicle’s mobile connector. Made exclusively by EVSE Adapters.

This product comes with a 3 year warranty.

Which adapter do you need?

Tesla vehicles delivered prior to December 15th 2017 came with the Gen 1 UMC. All new Tesla vehicles come with the Gen 2 or Gen 3 UMC. If you’re not sure, take a look at the charger cord that came with your car, and compare to the pictures below:

If your Tesla came with the Gen 1 UMC, it will not work with this adapter. All new Tesla vehicles come with the Gen 2 or Gen 3 UMC and can use this adapter.

Works good. Fits perfectly. Doesn't get hot, checked it with thermal camera and didn't see any issues.

Product description is wrong, there's no folding handle on the plug

Thanks for pointing that out - our TT-30 and 14-50 adapters have folding handles, but the 6-30 adapter does not. I have corrected that error now.

Found the Rare 6-30 Tesla Adapter

6-30 pigtail adapters are not available from Tesla . The new place I reside now requires this hard to find adapter which is available from EVSE. The adapter is shipped fast ,well built and serves my needs. Exceptional place to do business with.

Perfect solution

Tesla doesn't offer the NEMA 6-30 adapter for the Gen 2 MCU so this was a perfect solution for my situation. I had a 10 gauge 10/2 wire ran to my garage for a compressor so a repurposed that run for a single 6-30 Hubble receptacle. Ran the black and white wires from a double-pole 30A breaker (colored white wire to red) and the bare wire to the ground bar. I can get a full charge over night (0 to 100%) but most daily recharges are done within a couple hours. It's perfect and happy to have 2 hots and 1 ground w/ 6-30 vs to 2 hots and a neutral even though it's essentially the same thing.
